CMFE continues its valued engagement as observer at the CDMSI Steering Committee on Media and Information Society of the Council of Europe (CoE) in Strasbourg and its Expert committees.

As the new President of CMFE and with an intense interest in and responsibility to support the continued advancing of the policy space for community media in Europe, Birgitte Jallov participated together with the CMFE VP/treasurer Helmut Peisslto the December 2019 session of the two annual meetings of the CDMSI, which took place December 3-5 2019. Following up on the discussions, CMFE will in the next newsletters be able to share resulting collaboration emerging.
Ongoing since 2008, CMFE’s engagement has led to the adoption of several important policy documents supporting community media. The most recent ones are:
