A new publication is out, uniting results from a recent research project: Transnationalizing Radio Research presents a theoretical and methodological guide for exploring radio’s multiple »global ages«, from its earliest years through its recent digital transformations.

Community Communication and Alternative Media Section Report
The 2017 IAMCR conference in Cartagena was particularly successful for the Community Communication and Alternative Media Section (COC). Researchers enjoyed a large, diverse and very lively program: Highlights included a panel on Indigenous media in Colombia and reaching out in Cartagena with the out of venue session at the Teatro de Bellas Artes with the panel ‘Knowledge and dialogue on streets and for resilient neighborhoods: Young communicators and the right to a healthy life’. The fifth radio research section conference organized by the European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA) was entitled “Radio Relations” and was held in Lublin/Poland, September 12-14, 2017.
